Make Your New Years Gift the Present
With each New Year comes two incessant discussions: One reflecting on the past year; and the other, anticipating the New Year.
We think it’s time for a change. Rather than either obsessing over accomplishments, set backs and past memories, or planning new resolutions, destinations and days, we challenge you to stop, breathe and allow yourself to absorb existing moments.
Don’t allow the precious moments of the present to pass you by, simply because you’re too busy dwelling on what happened or what’s to come.
It becomes an endless ripple where you’ll always wish you’d had more time or could re-live the moments that were never given a chance.
In yoga, we’re always encouraged to focus on breathing and awareness – not only on your mat, but also in your daily routine. So why should New Years be the only exception for reflection and anticipation?
Challenge yourself to begin the New Year by taking in each moment as it comes – not a second before or after.
Allow it to fulfill the empty spaces that your soul would feel otherwise. If you dedicate yourself to the present moment, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the parallel progression of life and time.
